Continuous Evalution
For students of George College under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), the Continuous Evaluation (CA) pattern generally follows the standard MAKAUT system:
At George College, CA usually includes:
* Class tests (CA1, CA2, CA3)
* Assignments
* Viva/Presentation
* Quiz
* Practical performance (for lab subjects)
Most MAKAUT-affiliated colleges, including George College, commonly conduct 3 CAs in a semester. In many cases, the best 2 CA marks are averaged for the final internal score, though the college department may slightly vary the process.
Passing rule :
* Total marks must be 40/100 to pass a subject.
* Internal + attendance marks are added to semester exam marks.
Example:
* CA + attendance = 26
* Semester theory = 18
Total = 44 → Pass
Practical subjects:
* PCA/Internal Practical assessment
* Lab record
* Viva
* End-sem practical exam
Usually practicals are evaluated separately as per MAKAUT norms.
